Jayden Meghoma dubbed ‘rotten’ after what he did in Danny Rohl’s first Rangers game vs Brann
Jayden Meghoma could’ve done better in the first half as Rangers face Brann in the Europa League on Thursday.
Brann Stadion hosts Danny Rohl’s team on 23 October, with the German manager already making a couple of surprising changes to the starting lineup, including the return of Nasser Djiga in place of Derek Cornelius.
The Gers are looking to get their first points on the table in the European competition after losing to Genk and Sturm Graz under Russell Martin, but are a goal down at the break against Brann.
Rohl’s Ibrox appointment hasn’t inspired confidence among fans, with Andrew Cavenagh and Co. taking a long time looking for a new head coach, and he will now need to prove himself to those in Govan.

Jayden Meghoma cross poor in Brann vs Rangers
Meghoma had to do better on the break as the Gers were handed an opportunity against Brann around the 20th-minute mark.
The left-back had room to run in behind the Norwegian outfit’s defence, and while he did well to get into a decent position, his delivery into the box was underwhelming.
The Glaswegian outfit have played some decent football in Rohl’s first game in charge, but it’s the end product in the final third that has been missing.
Speaking on BBC Radio Sportsound on 23 October, Steven Thompson said: “It was poor from Meghoma. He’d got the break of the ball on the left-hand side, he’s got 20 yards to drive into, he does so, but then it’s all about the delivery. And, the delivery was rotten.”

Rohl clearly wasn’t the first choice at Ibrox, with Steven Gerrard and Kevin Muscat being heavily linked with the vacancy before the German manager’s appointment.
However, after his first press conference at the Gers, fans will have some hope as the former Sheffield Wednesday boss is clearly trying to get the supporters back onside.
Danny Rohl tasked with avoiding Europa League embarrassment at Ibrox
Rangers are predicted to finish 34th in the Europa League after failing to get any points on the table after two matches.
Martin was unable to translate his style of play at Govan, leading to a disjointed team in G51 that struggled to win games.
| Matches | Wins | Draws | Losses | Goals conceded |
| 17 | 5 | 6 | 6 | 24 |
The Scottish manager won just five of his 17 games in charge at the Glaswegian outfit, hurting their prospects in every competition.
While fans hope Rohl can improve the Light Blues’ domestic form at Ibrox, they also need to fight to secure their place in the knockout stages of the European competition.
