BBC Sport journalist shares what fans were chanting at Danny Rohl after Rangers defeat vs Brann

Danny Rohl’s start to life as Rangers boss got off to the worst possible start.

Rangers suffered an embarrassing 3-0 defeat away to Brann on Thursday night in the Europa League, leaving them winless in the competition after three games.

That, added to everything else that has happened so far this season, will have painted a very clear picture to Rohl as to the challenge that lies ahead for him at Ibrox, if he wasn’t already aware.

The Light Blues were dismal in Norway, and the nature of the performance led to chants ringing around the stadium, aimed at the Gers’ new manager.

Danny Rohl will be feeling the pressure at Rangers

Rangers are in turmoil; there is no hiding from that.

We are not even out of October, and yet it is starting to look as though the Gers will only have the League Cup to play for.

That isn’t Rohl’s doing, but he is the one left to pick up the pieces of a disjointed Rangers side, whose frailties were on show once again in the Europa League.

This time, much to the amusement of the home support, who, according to BBC Sport journalist Jane Lewis, were heard chanting “sacked in the morning” throughout the latter stages of the clash in Norway.

After one game, it’s fair to say that there is no risk of that happening, but it demonstrates just how much pressure is on the former Owls boss to turn things around in Glasgow.

Rangers fans, rightfully so, are already fed up with the direction that their club is going, and nothing looks likely to change anytime soon.

Rangers need to address horrendous defensive record

Let’s be honest; there are countless things that are going wrong at Rangers this season, but their inability to keep clean sheets away from home is the biggest issue.

After Rangers’ defeat to Brann, 24 games have been played away from home since the Gers last recorded a clean sheet.

It is a club-record low, which shows just how bad things really are in Glasgow this season.

Confidence is non-existent, identity simply isn’t there, and Rohl will not have much time to win the Rangers fans over if things don’t start showing signs of improvement very, very soon.
