Andrew Cavenagh to sign off on Danny Rohl appointment at Rangers – This will be his first game
Danny Rohl is now on the verge of becoming the new Rangers manager.
The Govan outfit have now been without a manager for two full weeks after Russell Martin was given his marhcing orders after the Premiership draw with Falkirk at the start of October.
Kevin Muscat had seemed destined to take charge at Rangers, but talks between him and the hierarchy fell through in the advanced stages over the weekend.
The search for the next appointment at Ibrox has taken several twists and turns, but now it looks as though it is finally set to reach its conclusion.

Danny Rohl to finalise Rangers talks ahead of Europa League clash
Rohl previously removed himself from the running at Rangers, but his appointment is now back on the cards after the Gers’ attempt to appoint both Muscat and Steven Gerrard fell by the wayside.
The former Sheffield Wednesday boss is now back in contention once again and is on the verge of taking the reins at Ibrox, according to The Rangers Review.
Talks between the German and the club are now set to be finalised ahead of Thursday’s Europa League clash with Brann.

Andrew Cavenagh and Co. were impressed by the 36-year-old’s interview earlier in their managerial search, and the chairman is now keen to “sign off on an appointment in the coming days.”
Rohl was eager to get started at Rangers as quickly as possible when he was first linked with the job, so it would be no surprise if the final stages of the appointment progress quickly ahead of Thursday’s European tie.
Fans will be in uproar over Danny Rohl appointment
Rangers fans quickly made their feelings on Russell Martin clear, and Rohl risks receiving a similar frosty reception when he comes through the door.
His lack of experience at the top-level will be a concern to supporters, who still have hope of the Gers turning their season around, despite the dismal start across all competitions.
The fans’ frustrations with the club hierarchy have become clear across the recent failed appointments, and the duo of Kevin Thelwell and Patrick Stewart were subject to protests during the draw with Dundee United this weekend.
However, while the initial reaction to Rohl’s appointment will undoubtedly be one of anger, the fanbase need to get behind him and try and give the team the boost that it needs.
Rangers are a club that can achieve great things when there is unity behind the team and the manager, but if the division remains, then Rohl’s tenure will be ill-fated from the very beginning.
