Rangers player ratings vs Dundee United – Thelo Aasgaard to be disappointed as 2/10 horrible
Dundee United took advantage of the turmoil at Rangers in the William Hill Premiership on Saturday.
Thelo Aasgaard scored the opener at Ibrox, with the Norway international doing most of the work as he beat a couple of defenders and found the back of the net in the 25th minute.
With Andrew Cavenagh yet to finalise Kevin Muscat’s appointment, Steven Smith is taking interim charge of the Light Blues for now.
The Glaswegian outfit’s Under-19 head coach will be disappointed with Kristijan Trapanovski’s equaliser, with Crag Sibbald subsequently giving the visitors the lead in the 75th minute, but James Tavernier thankfully secured a point for the hosts.

Thelo Aasgaard scores debut goal for Rangers vs Dundee United
Aasgaard was arguably the Gers’ Man of the Match after an influential display in the opening 45 minutes and the only positive for them throughout the game.
The 23-year-old continued to contribute in the attacking third with his creativity after the break,
Aasgaard has had a poor start at Ibrox, with many left unimpressed by the Norway international, but hopefully he will be able to kick off after his debut goal for the Light Blues.
With the attacking-midfielder hopefully getting up to speed at the Glaswegian outfit, the incoming manager may have a better opportunity to turn the tide in G51.
Djeidi Gassama should be ashamed after performance vs Dundee United
Djeidi Gassama has been the standout transfer at Ibrox, but the former Sheffield Wednesday star was woeful against Dundee United.
The 22-year-old gave the ball away in some dangerous areas, leading to opportunities for Jim Goodwin’s team.
With the French forward struggling to track back, the Tangerines had exploited the space out wide, with their first goal a perfect example of the Gers’ defensive issues.

Supporters will hope Gassama’s dip in form is just a blip and he can get back to his best against Brann in the Europa League on 23 October.
