Coach headhunted by Kevin Muscat could follow him to Rangers in double new update
Ross Aloisi and Vincenzo Ierardo could join Kevin Muscat at Rangers in the coming weeks, according to the Daily Record.
Muscat is closing in on a sensational return to Ibrox, weeks after Russell Martin was finally sacked on October 5 after that drab draw at Falkirk.
It has been a wild period for Andrew Cavenagh and the 49ers Enterprises, with Steven Gerrard initially close to the job before pulling out.
Muscat looks set to take over, but will remain at Shanghai Port to finish the Chinese season on 22 November before making the move.
His team is slowly coming together, too.

Kevin Muscat puts together Rangers backroom team
Neil McCann looks set to return to Rangers as an assistant coach to Muscat, but Aloisi and Ierardo won’t be far behind, it seems.
Aloisi was personally headhunted by Muscat for the job at Shanghai Port, and the 52-year-old looks set for Govan too, with Ierardo.
The former Australian star has backed Muscat thoroughly in his roles, saying that he could go to the very top should he continue his ability to win silverware.
Speaking via the Daily Record on Saturday [pg 64], Aloisi said, “For me, he is up there with the best because he has the stats to prove it as far as wins go.
“To win a Championship anywhere is difficult, but the way he’s won them and the football he’s played puts him up there with the best.

“Where will he end up? He can coach anywhere.”
Kevin Muscat silverware history
Shanghai Port beating Qingdao 4-3 on Friday left the reigning champions only three wins away from retaining their crown under Muscat.
The former Rangers star has nearly won all he can from his three spells in management, starting at Melbourne Victory with the A-League twice and the Australian Cup.
Moving on to Yokohama F. Marinos in Japan, that success continued.
Winning the J1 League and the Japanese Super Cup set him up for the move to Shanghai Port in China.

Muscat has so far won the Chinese Super League and the Chinese Cup, with a second league title only weeks away before a return to Rangers.
Aloisi and Ierardo are clearly huge fans of Muscat, and it would be no surprise to see them move across the globe to Ibrox to try and continue this huge success.
