Bojan Miovski not the answer as Rangers star called out in draw vs Dundee United
Steven Smith may be disappointed with Bojan Miovski as Rangers drew against Dundee United on Saturday.
Smith took interim charge against Dundee United on 18 October, with the search for a new manager still ongoing in G51.
Ibrox rejoiced as Thelo Aasgaard scored in the 25th minute, with the Norway international scoring a magnificent goal for the Light Blues after taking on a couple of defenders.
While there were several positives in the first half, the Glaswegian outfit’s hierarchy will have questions to answer about their recruitment strategy in the summer, with more dropped points in the 2-2 draw.

Bojan Miovski poor in first half for Rangers vs Dundee United
Miovski didn’t move well in the opening 45 minutes as the Gers went into the break with a one-goal lead against Dundee United, Ian McCall says.
The BBC Sportsound pundit believes that, despite the Light Blues’ improved performance at Ibrox, they need to address some issues up front.
McCall doesn’t feel the North Macedonia international is the answer to the Glaswegian outfit’s attacking woes, with most Scottish teams playing deep when facing the G51 outfit.
Speaking on BBC Sportsound on 18 October, the Scotsman said: “Still, for me, there’s a problem at centre-forward. I don’t think Miovski is the answer because of the type of opponents Rangers have, particularly in Scotland. They’ll sit in. And I don’t think it’s his forte. To me, he hasn’t moved well enough.”
Youssef Chermiti hasn’t really pulled up any trees at Ibrox, with Kevin Thelwell rightly called out by many fans for spending a hefty sum on his transfer from Everton.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see the Light Blues reinforce their forward line further once a permanent manager’s appointment is confirmed.
Kevin Muscat will want a new striker at Ibrox
Aasgaard is the only player who can leave with his head high at Ibrox, as the defensive frailties seen under Russell Martin were on show in G51.
While Rangers took a one-goal lead into the break, Dundee United came back from behind with some impressive strikes from Kristijan Trapanovski and Craig Sibbald.

James Tavernier saved the Gers from humiliation, but Kevin Muscat should demand further reinforcements if and when he fills the vacancy in G51.
Chermiti and Miovski’s failure to replicate the impact of Cyriel Dessers and Hamza Igamane also serves as an indictment of Kevin Thelwell’s work at Ibrox.
