Kevin Muscat announcement update emerges with Rangers deal all but done
Kevin Muscat has now agreed a deal to become the new manager of Rangers.
The Gers have been searching for a new boss since Russell Martin’s dismissal after the 1-1 draw with Falkirk on 5 October, and it now appears that they finally have their man.
Muscat has now reached an agreement to move to Rangers, with the only remaining obstacle in the deal being the compensation package that will be paid to Shanghai Port as part of the deal.
It is now a matter of time before the Australian returns to the place where he won a domestic treble as a player, and a huge update has now been shared regarding when the official announcement could take place.

Rangers ‘close’ to Kevin Muscat announcement
Muscat has emerged as the leading candidate at Rangers in recent days, with the likes of Steven Gerrard and Danny Rohl ultimately removing themselves from the running.
Andrew Cavenagh and Paraag Marathe have held discussions with several potential candidates about the prospect of taking over the reins at Ibrox, but the 52-year-old has now seemingly emerged as the victor.
Muscat is expected to see out the remainder of the season in China, which means he may not officially begin his new role in Govan until 22 November.
However, the Gers could be set to confirm his appointment much sooner than that, with reputable podcast The Heart and Hand suggesting that an announcement is now “close,” in a post via their X account.
Muscat’s team have a game on Friday, and as a result, it is unlikely that his move will be confirmed bedore then.
Rangers’ search for a new manager has swung back and forth on several occasions, but it now looks set to be concluded within a matter of days.
Kevin Muscat will have a close eye on developments at Ibrox
Steven Smith will be in charge for Rangers in this weekend’s clash with Dundee United, and it is then expected that Neil McCann will take the reins until Muscat officially arrives.
Nevertheless, the Gers squad must ensure they remain on their toes throughout the next few games, as their new boss is sure to be watching intently from afar.
Muscat will want to build a picture of the squad that is at his disposal to ensure that he can hit the ground running when he walks through the door at Ibrox, and as a result, there will be plenty of scrutiny on the players in the upcoming games.
In theory, the appointment of a new boss will mean a fresh start for the entire group, but things could quickly change if certain players continue to turn in sub-par performances.
