‘I already had doubts over Oliver Antman’s Rangers move, but here’s how Kevin Muscat can unleash him’
Kevin Muscat is on the verge of becoming the new Rangers manager.
Muscat has emerged as the favourite for the Rangers job after Danny Rohl and Steven Gerrard both dropped out of the race.
Muscat’s potential arrival has left Rangers supporters excited as they look to move on from Russell Martin’s disastrous spell in charge.
Oliver Antman was never fancied under Martin, yet Muscat could be the man to get the best out of the Finland international.

Oliver Antman could thrive under Kevin Muscat
Antman joined Rangers from Go Ahead Eagles in July for a fee that could rise to £5m.
Despite having an incredible season in the Netherlands, Antman has only started three of Rangers’ seven Scottish Premiership matches this season.
With Muscat’s move to Ibrox looking all but confirmed, this could spark an upturn in Antman’s performances for the Bears.

Speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, Dutch football expert and Voetbal International journalist Sander Janssen revealed details of how Muscat’s style of play can benefit Antman.
He said: “It depends on what the new manager wants, I think. Go Ahead Eagles played very direct football last season, but they were also able to build up and be patient.
“Antman is a player you have to launch with through passes. He’s very quick, technical, and unpredictable. If Muscat makes use of Antman’s strengths, he surely can be a success.”

Antman has struggled to adapt to playing for Rangers and he’ll need a manager who can utilise him effectively.
Kevin Muscat appointment could have huge impact on several Rangers players
Antman isn’t the only player who’s joined in the summer transfer window and failed to consistently perform.
Youssef Chermiti has been ineffective in the Europa League, whilst Mikey Moore has been slammed for his displays under Martin.
Not only does Muscat have a track record of winning trophies at different clubs he has managed, but the former Rangers defender knows exactly what it takes to get the Light Blues fans off their feet.

His footballing philosophy comes from the same brand as Ange Postecoglou and he’s known for turning his teams into an effective attacking unit.
With Antman used to a fast-paced, high-pressing style of play, the 52-year-old manager could have a valuable weapon in his arsenal.
Muscat is on course to win his second Chinese Super League title with Shanghai Port, and he’ll walk into the Rangers dressing room with confidence.
In Antman’s case, he’ll be hoping that his new manager’s confidence can translate to his performances for the Bears.
