Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reveal emerges in new Rangers manager hunt as Paul Scholes shares all
Rangers’ manager saga continues to drag on with the latest twist at Ibrox.
It’s been chaos since Russell Martin’s Rangers sacking, as Andrew Cavenagh and the 49ers have yet to appoint a new head coach.
Fans were rocked by the news that Steven Gerrard turned Rangers down, and in a dramatic turn of events, the Bears are now looking elsewhere.
Danny Rohl has been linked with the Rangers job, with Derek McInnes’ name also in contention at Ibrox.
However, the latest update suggests that Gerrard was not the only man Rangers met for talks in London, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appearing out of nowhere.

Paul Scholes sweats after hinting at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Ibrox move
Other names linked with the Rangers job include Raphael Wicky and Slaven Bilic, but former Manchester United legend and manager Solskjaer has now been thrown in the mix.
Ex-Man United midfielder Paul Scholes appears to have slipped up while speaking to former teammate Nicky Butt on The Good, The Bad & The Football podcast.
“I was actually with a lad the other night who told me he was actually going to meet Rangers in London, his name has not been mentioned,” he said.
“I don’t think he was going for it. They contacted him, and he was going to meet them in London.
Butt then replied, “Oh, I know who you mean,” while Scholes revealed the man in question is without a job.
Butt questioned, “He managed Man United, didn’t he? He scored the winner in the Champions League final, didn’t he? Ole [Gunnar Solskjaer], you’re talking about, aren’t you?”
Scholes smirked and replied, “No comment,” admitting to sweaty palms.

Solskjaer would be a smart appointment for Rangers
Solskjaer could be exactly what Rangers need, as he has major experience in managing a big club with expectations.
The Norwegian has excellent man-management skills, with his leadership style being admired by many.
- Solskjaer had a 54.17% win rate at Man United
- He led the Red Devils to a second-place finish in the Premier League
- The former striker last managed Besiktas
His style of play focused on counter-attacking football, as he would certainly bring more excitement than a possession-based team like Martin.
Solskjaer’s work with young players is also well-documented, as the coming days may be telling over his potential Ibrox move.
