Belgium media send ‘good luck’ warning after what Nicolas Raskin did vs North Macedonia
Nicolas Raskin played the full 90 minutes of Belgium’s 0-0 draw with North Macedonia on Friday night.
Rangers have been said to be open to selling Raskin in the winter transfer window, with Russell Martin reportedly having issues with the midfielder.
The 24-year-old was missing from the squad against Celtic and Hearts, but has since returned to the starting line-up.
Rangers sacked Martin last week, however, and the Belgian could now play a key role under the next manager.
Steven Gerrard has emerged as the first choice for Rangers, with talks reportedly taking place over the Scottish Premiership winner’s return.

Belgian media rave about Nicolas Raskin
Raskin has been referred to as the best player in Scotland, and the midfielder impressed for Belgium on Friday, even if they were held to a stalemate.
Rudi Garcia’s squad were unable to find a way past the North Macedonia defence, but the Rangers star was everywhere in midfield.

Raskin won nearly all of his ground duels, and recorded a staggering 12 recoveries for Belgium on the night.
Belgian outlet DH Les Sports gave Raskin a 7/10 rating, describing the midfielder as a “little pit bull who won all his duels again“.
RTBF Actus were similarly complimentary about the Rangers man’s performance, also giving him a 7/10 rating.
“Never leave a ball lying around at the bottom of your garden, Nico Raskin might be tempted to go and retrieve it on his way home,” journalist Antoine Hick wrote on Friday.
“A rare bright spot in an evening that ended in frustration, the man with three lungs proved to be absolutely tireless.“
“A true sentinel performance. Good luck anyone who wants to dethrone him,” Hick added.
Belgian paper Nieuwsblad Sport handed Raskin an 8/10 rating, describing the midfielder as “very important when losing possession, but also precise in building up play.“
Raskin will star under new manager
Rangers have a serious star on their hands when it comes to Raskin, and they must ensure the midfielder is not driven away.
Should Gerrard take over, as is expected, the Belgium international should be among the first names on the Englishman’s team sheet.
Raskin’s ability to win the ball back and put Rangers on the front foot are tools which must be utilised by anyone standing in the Ibrox dugout.
