Rangers fan leaves radio host baffled with Phillipe Clement demand at Ibrox
Russell Martin has suffered a similar fate to Philippe Clement after struggling for results at Rangers.
The Scottish manager, like the Belgian head coach last season, was given time to turn things around at the Gers, but was unable to do so.
Martin ended up lasting 123 days at Ibrox, the shortest spell of any permanent manager at the Light Blues.
Patrick Stewart was guilty of backing Clement when his dismissal felt inevitable, and the Glaswegian outfit now find themselves in the same place they were in February.

Phillipe Clement return called for at Rangers
One Gers fan made the bold claim of wanting Clement back in G51 to replace the departed Martin.
Gordon Duncan was left baffled by the supporters’ claim, who acknowledged that it won’t be a popular choice among many at Ibrox.
The Sky Sports reporter believes there’s no point in hiring the Belgian head coach as he already failed in his previous stint at the Glaswegian outfit.
Speaking on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard on 7 October, Duncan said: “Oh, for goodness’ sake. With no offence… In what world is that the way forward? How could that possibly be?”

The Ibrox faithful wanted Clement out of Ibrox as the Gers’ domestic form continued to suffer despite some decent displays in Europe.
With the Light Blues losing to Queen’s Park in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup, the Belgian manager was allowed to continue last season before being dismissed shortly after.
Ibrox faithful brace for Steven Gerrard return
Steven Gerrard is open to a return to Ibrox, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see a deal completed in the coming days.
The Liverpool icon was the last manager to taste success at Rangers, ending the 10-year wait for a league title in G51.
Matches | Win ratio | Points per game | Goals scored | Goals conceded |

Winning the title in the 2020-21 season also ensured that Celtic couldn’t win 10 in a row, which would have certainly been massive for Old Firm bragging rights.
With the William Hill Premiership race still open as Brendan Rodgers struggles at Parkhead, Gerrard’s appointment feels like a no-brainer.
