Patrick Stewart to launch Rangers investigation for Ibrox directors after shock scenes
Russell Martin was finally sacked by the Rangers board on Sunday.
Rangers fell to yet another draw against Falkirk, despite Bojan Miovski opening the scoring in the first half after a brilliant pass from Derek Cornelius.
However, Henry Cartwright’s long-range strike meant that Rangers had to settle for their fifth Scottish Premiership draw in seven matches.
Martin’s sacking became inevitable as he was forced to leave Falkirk separately with a Police escort, and now Patrick Stewart and Andrew Cavenagh must spearhead the hunt for another manager.

Russell Martin given police escort out of the Falkirk Stadium
Martin has become the worst permanent manager in Rangers’ history with a win percentage of just 29.41 per cent.
After the draw with Falkirk on 5 October, angry fans confronted the Rangers squad outside the stadium, blocking the team coach from leaving.
- Rangers’ draw to Falkirk has left them eighth in the Scottish Premiership, sparking even more fan anger
- After the match, some fans tried to stop the players and coaching staff from leaving Falkirk
- As a result, Martin had to be separately escorted out of the Falkirk stadium by the police
Martin’s underperformance as Rangers manager has culminated in supporters who are angry beyond belief, with these scenes blatantly showing how unpopular
The scenes also highlight the negligence of the Rangers board, with Stewart possibly set to take further action on the unsavoury scenes that were spotted in Falkirk.
Former Premier League referee Keith Hackett believes Stewart will investigate the matters to those on the Ibrox board, with the Scottish FA likely not involved over the saga.
Speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, he said: “This action by the fans to stop the bus from leaving the stadium impacts the players and coaching staff. It also incurs extra costs with regard to police and stewarding.
“The manager leaving in separate transport may well have been an earlier arrangement.
“The CEO of Rangers will no doubt be investigating and reporting the matter to his board of directors. I do not expect the Scottish FA to get involved.”

Stewart must turn his attention to hiring someone that the fans can get on board with; otherwise, he will face even more scrutiny.
Patrick Stewart can’t afford to make another managerial mistake
Stewart and Kevin Thelwell were confronted by fans after the Europa League loss to Sturm Graz on Thursday.
Rangers fans orchestrated fan protests and boycotts as Martin’s leadership of the team continued to deteriorate.
Stewart was also targeted with protests before the Premier Sports Cup quarter-final against Hibernian.
By the time another manager is appointed, Stewart will have overseen three different head coaches during his tenure as CEO.
Light Blues fans are starting to have enough of Stewart’s inability to make key decisions, and further anger will be directed at him if the new manager doesn’t hit the ground running.
There could be more jobs on the line at Ibrox.
