Falkirk vs Rangers postponement latest as Storm Amy continues to batter Scotland on Sunday

Rangers face an away trip to Falkirk in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.

Russell Martin faces increasing pressure to get wins on the board as fans continue to demand for his dismissal.

Rangers’ 2-1 loss to Sturm Graz on Thursday has once again left supporters in despair, and Martin must find a way to get consistent performances out of his players.

Having not won their first five league games, Rangers sit eighth in the Scottish Premiership, whilst Falkirk are also struggling down in 11th.

Storm Amy has pummelled Scotland throughout the weekend, and there are now fears for fans who are travelling to the game.

Falkirk vs Rangers set to go ahead despite disruptions for travelling fans

Following the 2-1 win over Livingston, Martin blamed the state of the pitch for the Light Blues’ poor second-half performance.

Fans will be furious if Martin uses Storm Amy as an excuse after Sunday’s match, with Falkirk sat just outside the area where the weather conditions will be strongest.

The Met Office have issued yellow warnings of wind across Eastern Scotland; however, fans travelling from Edinburgh may face issues, as these warnings have covered certain routes that lead to Falkirk.

Additionally, any supporters travelling from the North of Scotland may also face transport issues as winds will continue to sweep across that region throughout the day.

The match, which starts at 3pm, should remain unaffected by the adverse weather conditions, and is something which will definitely suit Rangers more.

Weather conditions for Falkirk versus Rangers:

Rangers must impose themselves in Falkirk, and with the match going ahead as planned, Sunday could be the day that Martin turns things around for the Bears.

Rangers must beat Falkirk if Martin wants to avoid being sacked; otherwise, the former Southampton manager will continue to grow much more unpopular in Govan.

Russell Martin must take accountability for Rangers’ poor performances

With Storm Amy not affecting Falkirk, Rangers will be given more time and freedom on the ball throughout the match.

There have been numerous times this season where Martin has been accused of failing to take accountability after damaging losses.

Andrew Cavenagh is being called to act on Martin, yet the chairman has consistently backed him up until this point.

Weather conditions will not play a part in the game itself, and should the Bears lose to Falkirk, then the international break would provide Cavenagh the perfect opportunity to finally relieve Martin of his duties.
