Rangers do something not seen often vs Sturm Graz, Ally McCoist staggered
Rangers lost 2-1 to Sturm Graz in the Europa League on Thursday.
Russell Martin’s team travelled to Merkur-Arena on 2 October but went into the break two goals down after Tomi Horvat and Otar Kiteishvili found the back of the net.
Djeidi Gassama got a goal back for the Light Blues just after half-time, giving the Scottish manager some hope.
Martin is on thin ice at Ibrox, and the loss against the Austrian outfit may be the final straw for Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises.

Rangers high line fails against Sturm Graz
Kiteishvili’s strike came after one pass split the Gers’ high line during a set-piece in the 35th minute.
Ally McCoist feels the Light Blues’ defensive setup ahead of the second goal isn’t something you see often from teams, with Sturm Graz eventually scoring relatively easily.
The Glaswegian outfit’s icon was staggered to see the visitors go two goals down in Merkur-Arena in the manner that they did.
Speaking on TNT Sports 2 on 2 October at 20:39, McCoist said: “Now the line Rangers keep defensively there is as high as you’ll see anywhere. And to be beaten by a pass like that, one pass, one straight pass, and lose a goal is nothing short of staggering.”

Sean Dyche to bring pragmatism back to Ibrox
Someone like Sean Dyche may be the right option to take over at Ibrox, with the English manager known for his pragmatic style of play.
The former Everton head coach has previously worked with Kevin Thelwell and managed to stabilise the Merseyside outfit during a demanding spell.
Dyche built a pedigree in the Premier League, managing to keep Burnley in the English top flight for a considerable period.

Martin has nowhere to hide at Rangers, and it feels like the right time to make a change in the dugout as Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises can’t let the crisis deepen in G51.
It remains to be seen what the next few days will bring at the Gers after another disappointing performance from the Scottish manager’s team.
