Rangers fans will get Russell Martin sacked as sad reveal from tunnel emerges at Livingston
Rangers finally picked up their first league win of the season in a 2-1 victory away at Livingston on Sunday afternoon.
Max Aarons scored a 94th-minute winner to give Rangers their first three-point haul of the Scottish Premiership season in West Lothian.
Despite the win, Rangers fans consistently jeered Russell Martin, as they continued to show their desire for his departure.
At the end of the game, Martin was seen leaving the pitch early despite his players going over to celebrate with the fans.

Rangers fans will get their way
Martin has fallen under scrutiny in recent weeks, with fans needing more from him and his players.
There has been an open lack of support towards the manager, with the Rangers’ faithful feeling Martin is not the right man for the job.
Mark Guidi believes that the abuse has gone too far right now, with sympathy starting to creep in for the former Southampton manager already.
Speaking on The Go Radio Football Show, the journalist said: “Whether or not you think Russell Martin is the right man to manage Rangers or not, to go to that, I think, is really unfair.”
Martin was seen leaving any celebrations after fans chanted for him to be sacked, as Guidi continued, “He feels it’s best so as not to ruin the celebrations, not to ruin the moment for his players that he goes up the tunnel and waits in the dressing room.
“It’s pretty sad, I think the Rangers supporters will get their way.”
Rangers fans have been very open with their feelings towards the manager, and it looks as though things will only get worse for Martin and his side.
If Martin departs, it will be the Rangers’ third manager change in 2025, with Barry Ferguson and Philippe Clement already leaving the Ibrox hotseat this year.
Guidi said: “I think it’s wrong to keep changing managers every six months… I’m now going to have to change my view for the good of the club; everybody has to come before the club.”
- Russell Martin – June 2025 -Present
- Barry Ferguson – February 2025 – May 2025 (Interim)
- Phillipe Clement – October 2023 – February 2025
A constant changing of managers is hard for fans and players; it leads to a lack of identity on the pitch, something that Rangers should not be without.
Rangers’ lack of good performances
Rangers have drawn four of their six league games this season, a record that leaves them eighth in the Scottish Premiership.
Rangers have not won the league since the 2020-21 season, under manager Steven Gerrard.
It has been four years of losing out to Old Firm rivals Celtic, and Gers fans are tired of waiting.
Martin will likely be out the door very soon, but the question lies: Who will be the next Rangers manager?
