Lyall Cameron injury latest emerges as new Rangers images drop from Auchenhowie
Rangers have already suffered several injuries at the start of this season, but they have been handed a fresh boost.
Rabbi Matondo and Dujon Sterling are two long-term absentees, while summer signing Lyall Cameron has not played a minute in over a month.
Rangers’ 6-0 defeat to Club Brugge was the last time Cameron appeared, and with Russell Martin’s side struggling for creativity, he could be an internal solution.
Martin has now been handed a key boost ahead of Rangers’ clash with Sturm Graz on Thursday, as Cameron could now be set to return.

Lyall Cameron returns to Rangers training
Rangers engaged in their last training session at Auchenhowie before embarking on their trip to Austria to face Sturm Graz.
During this session, there was a welcome return for Cameron, as he has been pictured in training with his teammates, as shared by the Rangers Review.
Cameron was a mainstay in the Rangers side before his injury, and arrived as an exciting addition from Dundee FC on a free transfer.
- Cameron scored 33 goals in 119 games for Dundee.
- He also provided 14 assists in that time.
- The Scotland under-21 star typically plays in attacking midfield.
Kevin Thelwell was criticised for not shopping in Scotland enough, and Cameron arrived as a proven player in the Scottish Premiership, who could now make an impact.
Cameron could replace Thelo Aasgaard
Thelo Aasgaard has been starting as the most advanced midfielder, but the Norwegian has struggled to make an impact in the final third.
While Aasgaard’s problems could be attributed to Martin, Cameron’s return gives Rangers another option in the position, and he could allow the midfielder to rotate out of the team for a little while.
Cameron and Aasgaard could also play together, and with the Scot providing a lot of goals and assists at Dundee, this could inject a creative spark into the Rangers side that they have lacked in the 22-year-old’s absence.
Mohamed Diomande is suspended for the Sturm Graz game, and while it may be a risk, Cameron could slot straight into the starting eleven to replace the Ivorian midfielder.
