‘I’ve not seen this in 30 years at Ibrox after Russell Martin latest at Rangers’
Russell Martin is still in the midst of a crisis at Rangers, and fans have shown no signs of letting up.
Rangers picked up their first Scottish Premiership win of the season at Livingston in the final minutes, but Martin was still met with a chorus of boos and abuse after the 2-1 victory.
Martin is routinely booed at Ibrox, and Rangers fans travelling to Sturm Graz are unlikely to suddenly offer their support, no matter the result on 2 October.
Rangers fans hold Martin in utter contempt, and the scenes at Ibrox most weeks are like nothing ever seen before.

John McGarry shocked at Ibrox reaction to Russell Martin
Scottish Daily Mail reporter John McGarry has been in attendance at Ibrox to see Rangers fail to impress under Martin this season.
McGarry has been covering Rangers for 30 years, and has seen a lot of heated Old Firm clashes, wild European nights and other managers booed off at Ibrox.

However, writing in his column on Wednesday, he revealed that the boos and chanting that Martin has received from Rangers fans at Ibrox is at a level he has never seen before.
“Each personal insult was more wounding than the next. In 30 years of covering matches at Ibrox, this correspondent had never heard such treatment meted out even to sworn enemies,” McGarry wrote.
“While winning football matches is truly the only way for a manager to top a popularity contest, you wonder if even that would be enough for the current incumbent to gain a modicum of respect.”
No way back for Martin at Rangers
There is, simply put, nothing Martin can do to reverse his situation at Rangers, with the majority of fans wanting him gone no matter what happens going forward.
Kris Boyd even claimed that if Martin wins his next 10 games and loses the 11th, fans will again call for him to be sacked.

Martin has failed to buy into the values of Rangers and has disrespected the fans while also delivering underwhelming displays on the pitch.
After heavy investment in the summer, if Martin departs Rangers within the next few months, he will likely go down as the manager with the worst win rate and shortest permanent spell in Ibrox history.
