Justin Kluivert reacts to Rangers scenes vs Livingston with new social media message

Rangers finally grabbed their first victory in the Scottish Premiership after defeating Livingston 2-1 away from home on Sunday.

Max Aarons was the hero as his stoppage-time strike sent the visiting supporters wild after Russell Martin faced their wrath in West Lothian.

Rangers have been surrounded by much protest this season, as Andrew Cavenagh and the 49ers have also been blamed for their poor form.

After the game, match winner Aarons took to Instagram to celebrate the dearly needed three points.

Justin Kluivert celebrates crucial Rangers win

Aarons signed for Rangers on a season-long loan in June 2025.

His life at Ibrox started poorly after receiving a red card against Club Brugge during their humiliating UEFA Champions League play-off tie.

But after finding the net in the final minutes of the match, he will hope to kick on from there.

The 25-year-old celebrated the win by posting on his Instagram account, and he said: “Special feeling. Only a start, but a big win.”

In response to this, his teammate Justin Kluivert – who plays for Aarons’ parent club, Bournemouth – replied with three fire emojis.

This is Aarons’ second loan spell away from Bournemouth, as he spent the second half of last season at Valencia, where he only made five appearances in all competitions.

First win prolongs the inevitable for Russell Martin

Even though the last-minute victory gave the Rangers faithful a rare moment of joy from this season, the uncertainty around Martin and his job remains.

Rangers’ next four games in all competitions.

One of the Gers’ next four games will be played at Ibrox, and out of those, two are matches in the Europa League.

To win all four would be a tough ask based on the form of Martin‘s side, but in recent seasons, this would not have been as steep a task.

The fact that Rangers are scraping last-minute winners against a Livingston side that has conceded the most goals in the Scottish Premiership this season is worrying.

Martin will continue to implement his philosophy at Ibrox, but if he continues not to adapt and mould it around his current crop of players, the end could be nigh for the ex-Premier League boss.
