Nicolas Raskin shares one-word reaction to Rangers return after Russell Martin saga at Ibrox
Rangers beat Hibernian 2-0 in their Premier Sports Cup quarter-final on Saturday to ease some of the pressure on Russell Martin.
Rangers fans protested against Martin and Patrick Stewart outside Ibrox before the game, and there were disruptions and banners on display during the 90 minutes.
Nicolas Raskin returned to the starting line-up after being frozen out by Martin for several games, with the fanbase taking the midfielder’s side.
Raskin opened the scoring before Bojan Miovski netted his first Rangers goal, and the Belgium international has now broken his silence on developments since on 20 September.

Nicolas Raskin reacts to successful Rangers return
Raskin was the best player on the pitch as Rangers won 2-0, and there could not have been a more popular player to open the scoring.
- The 24-year-old powered in a header from a James Tavernier corner.
- Raskin also played a big part in Miovski’s goal, as he helped Mikey Moore set up Miovski.
Speaking to Premier Sports after the game, Raskin was asked about his return to the team after his reported his feud with Martin, and he looked delighted.
“Finally,” he replied when asked if it was good to be back in the team.
The midfielder had the backing of the Rangers fanbase over the manager, and Martin looked relieved on the touchline as Raskin scored.

Nicolas Raskin shows up Russell Martin
Rangers failed to score in their last two league games without Raskin in the middle of the park, and it was almost written in the stars that he was the one to break their goal drought.
It was a much-improved performance from Rangers overall, and Raskin played a key part as neither goal would have happened without him.
That Rangers have won with him, shows what a daft decision it was to drop him in the first place, and while Martin has finally won, Raskin’s performance may have actually harmed his position at the club.
Rangers fans are unlikely to be much happier with Martin than they were before the game, but seeing the best player at the club back in the team and on the scoresheet was the biggest positive in a toxic atmosphere at Ibrox.
