Three rarely-seen players who can save Russell Martin as Rangers sack pressure grows
Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises have hit a major stumbling block with Russell Martin just a few months after their Rangers takeover.
The Scottish manager could go down as one of the worst managerial appointments at the Gers, as things have to come to a head in G51.
Martin’s future at Ibrox is uncertain as replacements are already being sounded out with the Light Blues 10th in the William Hill Premiership after five matches.
Cavenagh may see the extent of fan fury against Hibernian in the Premier Sports Cup quarter-final on 20 September, with the chairman set to attend the fixture, but Ibrox News looks at three players who could delay the inevitable with the Scottish manager in G51.

Findlay Curtis deserves Rangers start against Hibernian
Findlay Curtis had a magnificent start to the season under Martin as he made himself a hero against Panathinaikos in the Champions League.
The Scottish youngster has subsequently put in several game-changing performances at the Gers, but his game time has been limited.
In the league, the 18-year-old hasn’t started a single game and was left on the bench in the 2-0 loss to Hearts at Ibrox on 13 September.
Curtis helped the Glaswegian outfit secure a place in the quarter-finals of the Premier Sports Cup as he scored against Alloa Athletic in the 4-2 win, and Martin should definitely think about starting in the upcoming fixture.

Derek Cornelius should replace Nasser Djiga in defence
Martin should be relying on the experienced Derek Cornelius as long as he’s the manager following Nasser Djiga’s poor performances.
The Wolves loanee has looked shaky in recent matches and was substituted at half-time as Hearts picked up their first win in 11 years in G51.
John Souttar has had to play out of position in defence to accommodate the Burkina Faso international, but the left-footed Cornelius could change that.
The Canadian defender will surely be in the starting lineup as Martin looks to save his job at Rangers.
Clinton Nsiala should be trusted at Ibrox
Clinton Nsiala needs to be given game time by Martin, with the French youngster currently training with the reserves.
After Max Aarons’ underwhelming displays at left-back, the Scottish manager decided to trust Jayden Meghoma in that position, but he can’t be the only option, and the former AC Milan centre-back should be experimented with in a defence that has conceded 19 goals this season.
Last season, the 21-year-old showed a lot of potential under Phillipe Clement, but his prospects have dwindled since the Belgian head coach departed Ibrox.
While it may be too late for Martin to save his job, the least he can do is try.
