Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers set for huge Ibrox ‘shock’ when they see what Rangers fans have planned vs Hibs
Rangers are in a crisis and fan toxicity has rarely been higher than it is now, with the Ibrox crowd desperate for Russell Martin’s exit.
Martin has had a disastrous tenure so far with Rangers winless in his first five league games, and fans are planning action.
The Union Bears have demanded that Martin and CEO Patrick Stewart are removed from their roles immediately, with protests planned for the next game if they are not.
Rangers will face Hibernian in the Scottish Cup quarter-final at Ibrox on Saturday, with Rangers owner Andrew Cavenagh set to fly in for the game, and he could witness the toxic atmosphere first-hand.

Andy Halliday slams Rangers owners for not going to Ibrox
Former Rangers midfielder Andy Halliday has now had his say on Martin’s situation, and he has now hit out at the new owners.
There has been criticism of some of the directors Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises have hired since completing their takeover, with Kevin Thelwell under particular scrutiny, but Halliday has now told the Glasgow Times that the owners cannot see what is truly happening from afar.
“Andrew Cavenagh and the 49ers have made their stance (clear) to stick by Russell Martin and that’s fine,” Halliday explained.
“But I think where they will get a real shock is when they see the attendance at the Hibs game and the number of Europa League packages sold.

“I thought this was coming. There is not going to be as many bums on seats.
“The 49ers are not at the games to see the toxicity and the atmosphere, but when they watch it on telly and see an attendance of 25,000-30,000 against Hibs or in the Europa League, that might be what sort of catches their attention.”

Rangers fans to vote with their feet over Russell Martin
The Rangers owners may end up changing their stance over Martin when Cavenagh sees for himself how much the Ibrox crowd wants him gone, with the Chairman not in attendance in recent weeks.
Fans could vote with their feet as well if a decision is not made. If there are thousands of empty seats, and therefore lost revenue in upcoming games, then there will be a commercial reason to sack Martin as well as a footballing one.
Vice-Chairman Paraag Marathe has previously stated that his priority is footballing results over commercial success, but both will be in jeopardy as long as Martin is in the dugout, and the owners now need to make the right decision to keep fans onside.
