Rangers fans to turn on Andrew Cavenagh next after Russell Martin sack development
Andrew Cavenagh isn’t living up to his word at Rangers as Russell Martin dropped more points against Hearts on Saturday.
The US consortium’s takeover was meant to bring the good days back to the Gers, but the first few months under them have been tumultuous.
Hearts broke an 11-year record at Ibrox, beating the Light Blues for the first time in G51 since 2014 as Lawrence Shankland scored a brace in the 2-0 win.
Cavenagh should’ve sacked Martin after the Celtic draw, but the Glaswegian outfit’s hierarchy stuck by him, yet they can’t make a similar mistake.

Andrew Cavenag not planning Rangers board meeting over Russell Martin future
Cavenagh is backing Martin despite the loss against Hearts as he’s set to travel to the Gers, according to The Rangers Review.
The news outlet reports on 14 September that the Light Blues chairman is preparing for a pre-planned trip to Ibrox ahead of the game against Hibernian on 20 September, but no board meeting is planned anytime soon.
While most fans have evidently had enough of the Scottish manager’s failures at the Glaswegian outfit, it seems like the American owners aren’t bothered.

It’s clear that Martin has no future at Ibrox, having won just three of his 12 games in charge this season, but the Gers’ hierarchy can’t seem to acknowledge that.
The US consortium arguably risk being the subject of the supporters’ fury if they don’t make a swift decision regarding the 39-year-old head coach’s future.
Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises must take swift action to demonstrate that they will not repeat the mistakes of the previous management, who remained loyal to Philippe Clement despite the writing being on the wall last season.

Russell Martin must face consequences of wrong choices at Ibrox
Martin has excluded Raskin at Ibrox from the Gers’ previous two matchday squads, and that should in itself be a sackable offence.
The Belgium international is arguably the best player Rangers have on their books, but the Scottish manager can’t seem to reconcile with him.
It appears the former Southampton boss is unable to bring out the best in the 24-year-old midfielder at the Glaswegian outfit, making for a disappointing prospect.
The sooner Cavenagh realises Martin isn’t the right person to lead the Light Blues forward, the better.
