Rangers secure Chris Condy transfer agreement amid Manchester United interest
Rangers have secured the signing of Chris Condy.
Condy will feature for the Rangers academy at first, which has produced the likes of Findlay Curtis and Josh Gentles in recent years.
Curtis scored in Rangers’ Champions League win over Panathinaikos, and also bagged another in the Scottish Premiership clash with St. Mirren.
Russell Martin and Co. need to take advantage of the facilities at Auchenhowie if they are to get the Gers back to where they belong.
Condy will also hope to go to the next level in blue.

Rangers sign Chris Condy amid Premier League interest
Rangers have several youth prospects who can step up to be the next Curtis, and they have added Condy to the mix, according to RFC Youth Updates.
The young attacker was linked with the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Everton, with Fulham even inviting him to a training session in August 2024, according to the Daily Record.
However, it seems as though the Gers have secured his signature, as the Rangers youth account took to X on 12 September, saying: “Welcome to Rangers Chris Condy.”
Rangers need to keep signing the best Scottish talents
The Bears lack the identity that they have always had at the moment, and that is partly down to the lack of quality Scottish players in the side.
The successful Gers outfits of the past included academy graduates such as Allan McGregor, Barry Ferguson and Ally McCoist, who all won numerous trophies with the club.
- McCoist won 10 league titles with the Gers, as well as 10 other trophies
- McGregor won four league titles, four Scottish Cups and five League Cups with the Bears
- Ferguson won five titles, and five of both domestic cups
However, they have neglected their academy and the Scottish market in recent years, preferring to bring in talent from abroad rather than the likes of Lewis Ferguson, Lawrence Shankland and Josh Doig.
While that strategy has brought in quality additions such as Nicolas Raskin, Hamza Igamane and Mohamed Diomande, it has arguably left the Light Blues lacking in terms of the passion and heart needed to play for the famous club.
The 49ers Enterprises group and Andrew Cavenagh, the majority owners, need to significantly overhaul the academy and bring it back up to the standard that it once was, and bring in more homegrown talent.
It should be a pipeline for the best talent in Scotland to help the Gers win trophies.
