Mikey Moore slammed in Rangers vs Hearts after what Tottenham loan star did at Ibrox

Mikey Moore’s summer arrival at Rangers raised eyebrows as it was seen as a real coup for Russell Martin’s team.

Rangers were far from the only team interested in signing Moore on loan after he made most of his appearances last season during Tottenham’s injury crisis.

Following the signings made over the summer at Spurs, he was never likely to play a substantial amount this season if he stayed in London.

However, since moving to Glasgow, Moore has struggled. In particular, Moore was heavily criticised for his poor performance against bitter rivals Celtic before the international break.

While much of the negative press around Rangers has been hurled in the direction of Russell Martin, those on the pitch are beginning to be called out by fans and media alike.

Nicolas Raskin has found himself in too many controversies to keep track of, and his future at Rangers is looking more uncertain as each day passes.

Bill Young has his say on Mikey Moore’s performance vs Hearts

Rangers‘ last game saw them draw 0-0 away to Celtic following their humiliating 6-0 defeat away to Club Brugge in the Champions League.

The former host of Rock Sport Radio, Bill Young, took to X to voice his displeasure with Rangers’ first-half performance in the 2-0 loss against Hearts on Saturday.

He said: “Hearts doing all the things Martin wants from Rangers, who have again moved the ball sideways and backwards far too often.”

Young added: “The midfield has been bullied Rangers final pass poor, Moore hasn’t beat a man.”

While direct in calling out the Tottenham loanee, the stats from Moore’s showing on the day are underwhelming and support what Young is saying.

According to FotMob, Moore’s passing accuracy was only 62 per cent. He was unable to complete at least one successful dribble or accurate cross. He did not have a single shot either. As a result, he was subbed at half-time with Rangers down 1-0 at Ibrox.

How does the situation at Rangers improve?

Rangers losing 2-0 to Hearts at home will only spell further trouble for those both on and off the pitch at the club.

Martin is struggling to keep control of the dressing room, all while the players on the pitch are unable to perform.

Rangers have gotten off to their worst start to a league season in decades with no signs of improvement.

Whether it be a change of manager or revamping the squad in January, change needs to come immediately, or Rangers can find themselves in an even deeper mess than they are currently in.
