‘I’ve never heard Rangers fans do what they did at Ibrox vs Hearts before’
Russell Martin’s time in charge at Rangers continues to be a disaster.
Heading into the summer, Martin was not short of job offers before Rangers appointed him in June.
Martin’s style of football during his time at Southampton divided opinion among many. He made light work of the Championship, but was shockingly bad in the Premier League.
The arrival of Mikey Moore on loan from Tottenham was met with excitement, but Moore’s poor performances for Rangers have earned him criticism from those in the media.
Following yet another defeat, this time at home to Hearts, Rangers supporters in attendance at Ibrox made their feelings about their manager clear.

Alasdair Lamont stunned by chants at Ibrox
Rangers have not won in any of their first five league matches to start the season so far.
Rangers’ humiliating 9-1 aggregate defeat against Club Brugge saw their hopes of European football go out on a whimper.
Alasdair Lamont was commentating on the match for BBC Radio Scotland and was blunt in his assessment of the Gers’ performance.
Lamont said: “Even now, there is no urgency, maybe they accept they’re a beaten team.”
Nobody on the pitch can keep their head up as no Rangers player impressed against Hearts.
The chant “You’re getting sacked in the morning” was coming from the stands throughout the game.
In response to those chants, Lamont added: “Not sure I ever heard a Rangers support turn on their manager quite as much as is happening right now.”
Calling the situation at the club toxic would be generous with the dire state of seemingly everything at the moment.
Rangers need a solution, and it seems all that would please fans at the moment is Martin being sacked.
Russell Martin needs to be put out of his misery
It may be better to just count the losses with Martin and call it a day before it gets even worse.
Rangers are currently languishing 10th in the table, if that is not enough to get him sacked, what is?
Would it be too bold a claim to say Russell Martin is the most disliked man in Glaswegian football at the moment? It is hard to disagree when both Rangers and Celtic fans would have differing reasons for not liking him.
The higher-ups at the club are better off finding a steady manager to get things in order and at least sort out the basics on the pitch. The turmoil in the dressing room is also well documented.
This cannot continue, and surely no measure is too strong if it means improving this awful situation.
