Paul Nsio signs new Rangers contract as out-of-window transfer exit agreement confirmed
Rangers have been involved in a significant amount of transfer business over the summer.
Nicolas Raskin is the latest to be linked with a move away, after Russell Martin oversaw a significant overhaul of his first-team squad.
Hamza Igamane and Cyriel Dessers are a few of many players who have left Ibrox in what has been a chaotic window in terms of incomings and departures.
At times, the Gers supporters may have struggled to keep up, but with the window closing, this drama seemed like it had reached its conclusion until Paul Nsio’s temporary exit came out of nowhere.

Paul Nsio moves to Scottish Championship as new deal agreed
The Ibrox faithful have had limited opportunities to see Nsio in action for the first team.
- The 19-year-old midfielder made just one brief cameo appearance in the Scottish Premiership against Dundee United last season
- The teenager was also used as a late sub once in last season’s Europa League
- Nsio played ten minutes in Rangers’ 2-1 win over Royale Union Saint-Gilloise
With first-team opportunities being limited, Rangers Academy confirmed on X on 12 September that Nsio will be joining Scottish Championship outfit Raith Rovers on loan for the remainder of the season.
Before the young star headed out on loan, he put pen to paper on a two-year contract extension with the Light Blues.

Pathway for possible gametime for Paul Nsio if he impresses
With the likes of Raskin potentially leaving and Joe Rothwell being the subject of criticism since he signed, there is a possibility that Nsio could find himself as part of Martin’s first team set-up if he impresses during his loan spell.
Playing men’s football with higher stakes will only accelerate his development, and considering Raith Rovers’ positive start to the season, it looks to be an ideal temporary home for Nsio.
- Raith Rovers are currently joint top of the Scottish Championship
- They have picked up 10 points from their opening five games
- It is worth noting that St Johnstone, who are joint top with Raith Rovers and Arbroath, have a game in hand
Contributing to a potential Rovers promotion will certainly not harm his chances of being welcomed back to Ibrox by Martin with open arms at the end of the season.
