Jose Mourinho can bring the ‘glory days’ back to Glasgow in Rangers ‘rescue’ act
Russell Martin has had a disastrous start in charge of Rangers.
Martin is under pressure in Glasgow after drawing four consecutive games at the start of the Scottish Premiership season.
Rangers also suffered a humiliating exit in the Champions League with a 9-1 aggregate defeat to Club Brugge.
A goalless draw against Old Firm rivals Celtic was a game that was really low on quality, which fans were deeply unimpressed by.
Martin is on thin ice at Ibrox, after the club’s worst start to the season in 42 years, and a spectacular name has been mooted to replace him.

Jose Mourinho ‘could rescue’ Rangers
Jose Mourinho has been shockingly linked with the manager’s job at Ibrox.
The Portuguese is currently out of work after being sacked by Turkish giants Fenerbahce last month.
Martin has not been sacked by Rangers yet, but if we were to be the Scottish club could turn to Mourinho.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Alex Crook spoke about how Mourinho could potentially end up at the Gers.
He said: “Russell Martin isn’t enjoying a brilliant start to his tenure at Ibrox, and I remember Jose playing against Rangers and speaking in glowing terms about that club.”
He added: “I think his ego would lead him to believe he can bring the glory days back to Glasgow.”
Crook also mentioned how Scottish football has lacked in quality recently and how Mourinho could be the spark it needs.
“Maybe Jose Mourinho is that force of nature that could come in and rescue not just Rangers but maybe rescue Scottish football as a competitive entity.”

Jose Mourinho would be box office at Ibrox
While his best days may be behind him, there is still real appeal in hiring somebody like Mourinho.
Rangers owners, 49ers, and Andre Cavenagh want results and could be willing to go for serial winner Mourinho to turn the club around

Mourinho would bring his own divisive personality to the role, which would no doubt intensify the Old Firm even more.
The former Chelsea and Real Madrid man may just be the spark needed not just for Rangers but for Scottish football as a whole.
It remains to be seen whether a deal could be done, but Mourinho at Rangers is something that would be brilliant to watch.
