Lille chiefs already stunned by Hamza Igamane two weeks after Rangers transfer
Hamza Igamane was one of the many departures from Ibrox this summer.
Igamane secured a move to Lille at the end of the window after off-field antics made his position untenable.
Russell Martin wanted a refreshed squad, and a move away for the 22-year-old was seen as the best option.
When Igamane refused to come on in 1-1 draw against St Mirren, it seemed to spell the end of his time at Ibrox.
Rangers made a healthy profit from the sale, and it looks as though his new club are already impressed with their latest signing.

Lille “can’t believe” the deal they got for Hamza Igamane
Igamane has only been in Ligue 1 for two weeks, but has already excited Lille officials with his ability.
Igamane bagged a brace on his Lille debut after only coming on at half-time in the 7-1 thrashing of Lorient.
According to journalist Robin Bairner via X, the Moroccan has continued to impress his new club while on international duty.
He claims that the French giants “can’t believe” that they were the only ones of the six Ligue 1 teams offered the player to take up the gamble on signing him.
He also reports that Lille officials believe that the price they paid for Igamane will prove to be a bargain.
Igamane displayed his talent with a stunning goal for Morocco against Zambia on Monday.
“Early reaction from Lille is that they can’t believe they were the only one of the six Ligue 1 teams to go for him,” Bairner posted on X.
“Already belief that €11million will prove very good value.”

Rangers are better off without Hamza Igamane
Rangers made the right decision to let Igamane leave, despite his obvious talent.
The incident at St Mirren proves that he is not the type of character Martin wants to have around the squad.
The club have also replaced the Moroccan well in the transfer market.
Bojan Miovski is the perfect signing for Rangers, having had plenty of experience in the Scottish Premiership.
The North Macedonian was prolific for Aberdeen and will be able to fill the void left by Igamane.
Season | Goals | Appearences |

Rangers have also brought in Youssef Chermiti from Everton, as another option in attack.
The Portuguese wasn’t given much of a chance on Merseyside, but his potential will excite the fans at Ibrox.
