Rangers have cause for concern after what happened with Oliver Antman on Finland duty
Rangers may have landed a potential gem in Oliver Antman, but the winger has struggled to settle at Ibrox so far.
After an initial bright start in his first game, Antman has struggled to hit his best level at Ibrox, although it is clear that he is a winger capable of producing magic.
Rangers have struggled as an attacking unit under Russell Martin, and Antman is one of several players who are far from their top form and confidence right now.
Antman’s struggles have now continued during the International break away from Rangers, as he started for Finland against Poland.

Oliver Antman struggles in Finland defeat to Poland
Antman joined Rangers from Go Ahead Eagles in the Netherlands, and he arrived at Ibrox as a full Finland International who had earned admirers wherever he has played.
The 24-year-old started as Finland were beaten 3-1 by Poland in a World Cup qualifying clash, and he struggled to make the impact he would have desired.
- Antman has failed to score, and has registered two assists in six appearances for Rangers.
- Both these assists came against Viktoria Plzen on an outstanding debut, but he is yet to hit these heights again.
Antman lasted just 64 minutes before he was one of several attackers substituted, with former Rangers hero Glen Kamara coming on in a flurry of changes.
In that time, the Rangers winger failed to create a single chance, register a single shot or complete any dribbles, in an anonymous display, and there may now be an overall concern at Rangers.

Oliver Antman sums up Rangers’ attacking problems
Antman, like most of his Rangers teammates, has struggled for form under Martin, and he looks bereft of confidence just months into his career at Ibrox.
It is clearly a symptom of Martin’s system and Rangers’ failures as a whole that no attacker appears to be thriving right now, despite several new additions only just joining.
Rangers will be concerned that none of their attackers appear to be in form, and this does not bode well as they aim to add more goals and creativity to a side which has been lacking in both so far.
Antman has played on the right wing for Rangers, but a move to the left for Finland did not spark him back into life, and the longer he goes without a goal, the more difficult it will become to get him firing again.
