Rangers to have £10m regret with attacking duo after Youssef Chermiti transfer
Rangers could potentially rue spending £10million to sign Youssef Chermiti from Everton in the previous transfer window.
The Gers decided to make the 21-year-old their second most expensive signing ever, showcasing the faith the recruitment department have in him.
Kevin Thelwell has arguably put his reputation on the line for Chermiti, with the Light Blues spending the most amount on a single player in 25 years on the centre-forward.
Bojan Miovski has arrived at Ibrox, and some fans may feel the Glaswegian outfit would have been better off using their funds on someone other than the Portugal Under-21 international.

Vaclav Cerny and Abdallah Sima could have been signed by Rangers
Vaclav Cerny enjoyed a fruitful spell at the Gers on loan last season, but the new owners went against making his move permanent.
The Czechia international has now moved to Besiktas from VfL Wolfsburg for around £6m, which the Light Blues could have arguably afforded at Ibrox.
Then there’s Abdallah Sima, who spent the 2023/24 campaign at the Glaswegian outfit, scoring 11 league goals.
The 24-year-old Senegal international completed a permanent transfer to Lens for around £4m in the summer of 2025, representing another opportunity the Bears failed to take.

Youssef Chermiti to struggle at Ibrox
Miovski is certainly in contention at Ibrox to be the best summer signing, considering his pedigree in the William Hill Premiership.
The North Macedonia international has already proven himself in Scotland with Aberdeen, and fans will hope he can find his feet once again in G51.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see the 26-year-old be the first choice number nine at the Glaswegian outfit this season.
- Thelwell signed Chermiti at Everton for £11.5m in 2023 from Sporting CP.
- The striker didn’t score a single goal for the Toffees.
- Last season, the centre-forward made four Premier League appearances.
Rangers have made a significant outlay on Chermiti, but there’s no guarantee Martin will start him, and considering his record at Everton, that may be sensible.
The Portuguese youngster failed to live up to the expectations at the Toffees and now comes into an evidently toxic environment, where success is expected.
With the fans already questioning Thelwell’s decision to appoint the Scottish manager, the striker may not be given much time before the Ibrox faithful grow frustrated with him.
