What Rangers fans can expect on deadline day – ins, outs and done deals

Rangers need to make the most of transfer deadline day if they are to turn their fortunes around.

Russell Martin’s winless start to life in Glasgow continued on Sunday, with Rangers forced to settle for a 0-0 draw at home to Celtic.

Martin is under increasing pressure at Ibrox, and his future could well be determined by the business Rangers can do on the final day of the summer transfer window.

With that in mind, Ibrox News takes a look at the expected incomings and outgoings before Monday’s transfer deadline.

Done deals at Ibrox so far

Djeidi Gassama is the standout signing for Rangers, who have seen 12 new arrivals check in at Ibrox so far this summer.

Bojan Miovski is the latest addition at Rangers, joining on a four-year deal from Girona, having only moved there from Aberdeen last summer.

Oliver Antman has also shown promise, while the Light Blues faithful are yet to see the best of the remaining incomings.

So far, the Gers have spent just short of £20million on transfers, with more expected over the next 24 hours.

Rangers ins on deadline day

Youssef Chermiti is expected to become a Rangers player on Monday, in a deal that could rise to £10million.

The 21-year-old has had a tough time at Everton since making the move to England, failing to find the net on any of his 24 appearances.

However, he may not be the only arrival at Ibrox before the deadline, with Rangers also in advanced talks to sign Oumar Diakite.

Diakite, 21, would be yet another attacking arrival in Glasgow, having spent the last two years of his career in Ligue 1 with Reims.

The Ivory Coast international made 33 appearances in all competitions for the French outfit last season, registering five goal contributions.

Cyriel Dessers and two others set for Rangers exit

With Miovski’s arrival at Rangers, it was thought that he would be the replacement for Hamza Igamane, who scored on his Lille debut.

However, he could prove to have been a signing made in fear of losing Cyriel Dessers, who has once again been linked with an exit from Ibrox.

That is one deal that could go through before Monday’s deadline, with Martin saying via Sky Sports Scotland: “I also think Cyriel’s probably played his last game for the club.

“He’s been great, he’s been great the whole time he’s been here, so he goes with everyone’s best wishes.”

Dessers’ stats at Rangers

Clinton Nsiala is expected to join Dynamo Kiev on loan from Rangers, who have given the green light for the 21-year-old to make the move.

Oscar Cortes is also likely to finalise a loan exit from Ibrox, with a move to Sporting Gijon on the cards.

The future of Leon King and Rabbi Matondo is also worth keeping an eye on, with little hope for them having a future at Ibrox.
