Sir Alex Ferguson spotted at Ibrox after being tipped for Rangers behind-the-scenes role
Sir Alex Ferguson is no doubt a well-known name at Rangers.
The legendary manager spent a few years at Ibrox as a player and scored 35 goals in 66 appearances.
However, while his time at the Gers ended on a somewhat sour note, the 83-year-old remains fond of his boyhood club.
Ferguson has been spotted around Rangers numerous times in recent months.
Now, the former Manchester United manager could be set for a new role.

Sir Alex Ferguson spotted at Rangers vs Celtic match
It was no doubt a drab match on Sunday as Rangers and Celtic played out a 0-0 draw.
Few players impressed, with the only highlight of the match being John Souttar’s goal for Rangers being ruled out by VAR.
However, one of the few highlights came away from the pitch itself and in the stands.
- Rangers drew 0-0 with Celtic on Sunday
- Russell Martin continues to wait for his first Scottish Premiership victory
- Sir Alex Ferguson was spotted in the stands watching the match
Rangers Review posted an image of Ferguson on X on 31 August, with the former manager watching the Old Firm derby at Ibrox.
This comes after Ferguson was recently tipped to become an ambassador at Rangers.
It remains to be seen if this will be taken up by the Glaswegians and Ferguson.
Rangers should get Sir Alex Ferguson more involved at Ibrox
Considering that Ferguson is still clearly keen on Rangers, then the Gers should not think twice about offering him a role at the club.
A man of his experience and connections would be a massive coup and would really show how ambitious the 49ers are.

By adding Ferguson into the Rangers, it would no doubt make the Gers more attractive, and the 83-year-old could offer key advice to help the Glaswegians return to the top.
Hopefully, discussions will be had by the two parties if they haven’t started already.
