Clinton Nsiala set for Ukraine move as Rangers green light late transfer exit

Rangers fans would be forgiven for forgetting Clinton Nsiala at Ibrox.

Nsiala arrived at Ibrox from AC Milan, but was rarely utilised by Philippe Clement and didn’t get a single look-in under Russell Martin.

Rangers have signed Nasser Djiga and Emmanuel Fernandez to strengthen their backline this summer, but both have failed to convince fans at Ibrox.

Despite that, Nsiala has been given the green light to leave.

Clinton Nsiala to seal deadline-busting Ibrox exit

Nsiala is one of many who could leave Rangers before the 11pm Scottish deadline on Monday.

The Scottish Sun has now reported that the Frenchman will join Dynamo Kiev on loan until the end of the current season.

It is stated on 31 August that the 21-year-old, who has not played under Martin, has been given the go-ahead to temporarily move to Ukrainian football.

Who else could leave Rangers?

Cyriel Dessers looks to be next in line to leave, with Rangers accepting two bids.

Panathinaikos are favourites to sign Dessers for £3.6million-plus, with plenty more on the cards with just over 24 hours left in the window after a long summer.

Nsiala could then follow, with the floodgate opened since Hamza Igamane sealed his exit to join Lille.

Leon King and Rabbi Matondo are two to watch, with up to five exits on the cards for Martin and Rangers, who could bring in two new faces of their own.

That is a long list who could leave, but the deadwood desperately needs clearing.

Rangers’ 0-0 draw against Celtic on Sunday had Paraag Marathe and Andrew Cavenagh watching on as the Ibrox crowd loudly jeered Martin and his squad, leaving the pitch.

If that wasn’t the message, they needed to go one step further and clear the squad with new signings in place, maybe they will start to face the boos too.

Nsiala may only be set to move away on loan, but it would be no surprise if it turns into a permanent exit further down the line next summer.
