Bojan Miovski medical results are in as Rangers face race against clock for Celtic clash
Rangers are still looking to improve their squad and are eyeing a move for Bojan Miovski.
The Gers’ attack has appeared blunt in some of Russell Martin’s opening matches at Ibrox.
Cyriel Dessers has heavily underperformed at Rangers so far this season, which has forced the 39-year-old back into the market.
One star Rangers are interested in is Miovski, who has struggled at Girona since his move last summer.
Now, the Glaswegians are closing in on the attacker’s signature before the Old Firm derby on Sunday.

Bojan Miovski completes Rangers medical
Miovski was a highly clinical striker in the Scottish Premiership until his move to Spain last summer.
However, in Catalonia, the North Macedonian international has struggled to find the back of the net.
Therefore, Martin is hoping to change this, with Rangers agreeing on a fee for Miovski that could rise up to £4.2million.
- Miovski netted 26 times in all competitions during his last season at Aberdeen
- The striker was named in the PFA Scotland Team of the Year for the 2023/24 campaign
- Miovski has struggled to find form at Girona
Now, according to Sky Sports journalist Anthony Joseph via X on 29 August, the striker has now completed his medical ahead of the potential move.
The striker is now due to travel to Glasgow on Saturday to complete the move.

Russell Martin faces challenge to get Bojan Miovski back to form
While Miovski may have been a sensational player at Rangers for years, the striker has been rubbish in Spain.
According to Fbref on 30 August, the attacker’s stats from La Liga last season are awful, and it is understandable why he struggled to hit the back of the net.
Bojan Miovski stats over the last 365 days per 90 minutes | |
Non-penalty goals | 0.15 |
Shots | 1.52 |
Assists | 0.08 |
Shot-creating actions | 0.91 |
Passes attempted | 11.84 |
Passing completion | 78.2% |
Progressive passes | 0.38 |
Progressive carries | 0.30 |
Therefore, if Martin is to return the North Macedonia international back to form, he faces a real challenge.
It could take months to get the 26-year-old back up to speed, time the 39-year-old or Rangers do not have.
Therefore, the signing could be a real risk for the Gers, especially due to how much Miovski is set to cost the Glaswegians this window.
