Bojan Miovski document emerges on SFA website in exciting Rangers transfer development

Bojan Miovski faces a race against time if he is to turn out for Rangers in Sunday’s Old Firm Derby.

The North Macedonian is on the verge of completing his move to Ibrox, but it remains unclear as to whether he will be signed and registered in time to line up against Celtic.

Miovski has completed his Rangers medical in France and is due to travel to Glasgow to complete the deal on Saturday.

The frontman will be an exciting addition to Russell Martin’s side, and the boss will be hoping that he can have an immediate impact on the team’s fortunes.

Rangers prepare Bojan Miovski registration

Miovski’s move to Rangers is now all but confirmed, and as a result, attention has turned towards when he could potentially make his debut for his new club.

The Gers faithful will be desperate to see him line up against their bitter rivals on Sunday, and it is seemingly still a possibility that he could be cleared to play in the derby.

Rangers are now in the process of preparing Miovski’s registration, with the 26-year-old now showing on the Scottish FA’s Comet system with an “entered” status, as noted by one Rangers fan on X.

The “entered” status means that the club have begun the registration process in Comet, but are yet to submit the full application.

Miovski will be officially cleared to play when his status in the system changes to “registered,” but this requires review from the SFA, as well as international clearance in this instance.

What is the COMET system?

Rangers now face an agonising wait on Miovski, and will undoubtedly be paying close attention to his status on the Comet system over the next few hours.

The system is employed by the SFA across all levels of football in the country, even right down to the amateur and recreational game.

Competitions, player registration, officiating appointments and disciplinary issues are all managed within Comet.

At the professional level, every single transfer must be passed through the system and approved by the SFA before the player can begin playing for his new club.

As the wait for Miovski’s approval goes on, Rangers fans may want to keep a close eye on the system ahead of Sunday’s huge clash.
