Rangers schedule medical in Paris as multi-million Bojan Miovski fee agreed

Rangers have reportedly reached a financial agreement to secure the services of Girona striker Bojan Miovski ahead of the transfer deadline.

Russell Martin wants new players at Rangers given his side’s dismal start to the new SPFL season and also with them failing to qualify for the Champions League.

The Ibrox outfit want to sign Miovski in time for the Celtic game on Sunday as they have failed to win a single league game this season and will want to pick up the three points against their arch rivals.

Bojan Miovski set to undergo medical in Paris

Miovski seems all set to join Rangers and sign a four-year deal, making him an important signing for them this summer.

With Hamza Igamane having left for Lille, it became imperative for Gers to sign a goal scorer and they will hope that the 26-year-old can hit the ground running.

According to Filip Mishov on 29 August, the Glasgow club have agreed a £3million fee with the Spanish side for the North Macedonia international.

The RG Media journalist wrote on X that Miovski will undergo his medical in Paris, amid hopes to get him registered in time for the Old Firm derby on Sunday.

What Rangers fans can expect from Bojan Miovski

Miovski brings proven goal-scoring prowess and familiarity with Scottish football after netting 44 goals in 98 appearances for Aberdeen.

His clinical finishing and long-shot accuracy will address Rangers’ attacking woes amid a poor start, including three 1-1 league draws and a Champions League exit.

Miovski’s work rate and high-pressing style suit Martin’s system, offering reliability up front as Cyriel Dessers has faced fitness issues and Igamane has departed.

With elite ball retention and positioning instincts, he promises to boost the Ibrox outfit’s firepower, potentially reigniting his form in the Premiership while providing depth and competition in the forward line.

He most certainly will start ahead of Danilo and it remains to be seen if Martin fancies him to Dessers.

However, that is a dilemma the manager would love to have in the upcoming months, as a little competition for places is always healthy.
