James Tavernier appears glad Hamza Igamane has left with what he’s done on Instagram
Hamza Igamane’s transfer saga at Rangers has finally come to an abrupt end.
The winger only moved to Ibrox last summer, where he became an instant hit in Glasgow.
However, his form was noticed by multiple clubs in Europe, with Igamane being heavily linked with a Rangers exit.
Now, on Friday, Igamane officially left Rangers for Lille, ending the transfer saga once and for all.
As a result, many players in the Rangers squad were quick to react to the news, including James Tavernier.

James Tavernier likes Rangers post about Hamza Igamane departure
Rangers and Russell Martin are no doubt going through a tough spot at the moment, given their recent results.
This was no doubt on show over the past week after their 1-1 draw with St. Mirren, which was quickly followed up with a humiliating 6-0 defeat to Club Brugge.
One of the major talking points from the former match was Igamane, who refused to come off the bench for Rangers, citing that he was injured.
Now, amid the news that the 22-year-old has departed for Lille, Rangers posted the news that Igamane had departed the Gers. However, it soon became clear that Tavernier liked the post.
- Igamane netted 16 times in 49 appearances for Rangers
- The winger had been linked away from Ibrox all summer
- Igamane has now moved to Lille for rumoured £10.5million fee
Given the issues the Moroccan international has caused at Rangers over the past few days, the captain may be glad to see the back of the attacker.
Considering the current issues at the Glaswegians at the moment, ending the transfer saga will no doubt be a relief.
On top of this, Igamane’s refusal to come on for Rangers against St. Mirren would have no doubt caused some disdain among the squad, which may have led to Tavernier rooting for his departure.
Bojan Miovski to be perfect Hamza Igamane replacement?
While Igamane’s departure has been taking place, Rangers have been working on the addition of Bojan Miovski from Girona.
The former Aberdeen attacker struggled in Spain, but was once one of the most prolific strikers in Scotland.

Therefore, Miovski could prove to be the perfect Igamane replacement, especially if his form can quickly be recovered.
Hopefully, this is done as soon as possible to help the Gers quickly recover their dire form.
