‘Rangers will be laughing’ as multi-million transfer news emerges from Ibrox
Rangers are not done with their transfer business yet despite a number of ins and outs this summer.
The Ibrox outfit signed Jayden Meghoma most recently and his arrival took their summer transfers to 10.
A number of players have left the club as well, most notably, Jefte, whose exit saw Rangers pocket a £6.5million fee.

Lee Mair stunned at Hamza Igamane exit price
Hamza Igamane now appears to be the next player to leave Rangers in this transfer window.
The Morocco international was on the bench against St Mirren at the weekend and Russell Martin revealed that the striker refused to come on, citing an injury.
However, Igamane did not feel any issues in the days leading up to the contest or even on the day of the game.
Club | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
---|---|---|---|
AS FAR Rabat | 59 | 16 | 8 |
Rangers | 46 | 16 | 3 |
It now seems that the 22-year-old did that to avoid an injury ahead of a potential transfer away from Ibrox.
Rangers Review journalist Chris Jack reported on 26 August that Igamane is set to join Lille as the French side met his £10.5million release clause.
Former Aberdeen and St Mirren defender Lee Mair, who works on Aberdeen’s Red TV, is baffled that they’re willing to pay that kind of money for a player who threw his manager and teammates under the bus on Sunday.
Via X, the Dons pundit: “This fee is absolute madness! Rangers will be laughing! Especially after flinging the manager and teammates under the bus at the weekend by refusing to come on and help out when they needed him.”

Rangers should welcome Hamza Igamane’s departure
Igamane’s recent antics at Rangers highlight a troubling attitude that could poison the dressing room.
Such insubordination, especially amid rejected bids from Lille and his apparent focus on a move elsewhere, erodes team unity and morale, risking further fractures in an already strained squad under Martin.
It’s a relief he’s departing, allowing the Ibrox outfit to purge this negativity and rebuild cohesion.
With a £10.5million fee on the table, far exceeding his £1.7million arrival fee, the Light Blues stand to profit handsomely, enabling savvy investments in reliable, committed players like a proven striker or defender before the window slams shut, bolstering their title push.
