Rangers set to make Hamza Igamane announcement – Exclusive
Hamza Igamane has played his final game for Rangers, Ibrox News has learned.
Igamane refused to come on for Rangers in the draw against St Mirren on Sunday and that was the beginning of the end of his time at Ibrox.
Lille initially sent the Rangers a loan bid to sign the Moroccan, which was rejected.
The Ligue 1 club have sinced matched the Igamane’s £10.4million release clause and will be securing his services ahead of the transfer deadline.

Hamza Igamane announcement expected on Friday
Rangers are likely to finalise the Igamane sale and make an official announcement on Friday, sources have told Ibrox News.
The 22-year-old will be arriving in France on Thursday to undergo his medical before an announcement can be made the following day.
Igamane’s impressive first season at Gers saw interest in his services skyrocket and that has seen them profit big from his departure.
- Cyriel Dessers was the leading goalscorer for the Ibrox outfit last season, with 29 goals in all competitions.
- Igamane broke into the starting lineup under Philippe Clement and became a key player.
- Danilo, who has had consistent fitness issues, is the other number nine at the club.
Having signed him for £1.7million from Far Rabat last summer, they will now make close to £9million from his sale after just one season.
The Morocco international will be among many players to have left the Light Blues this summer, including Robin Propper, Jefte and Leon Balogun, among others.

Hamza Igamane’s exit teaches Rangers valuable lesson
Igamane’s £10.4million transfer to Lille, just 12 months after Rangers signed him from Far Rabat for £1.7 million, exemplifies a sustainable model for the club’s future operations.
This £9million profit highlights Gers’ ability to unearth high-potential gems from less prominent markets, develop their value through competitive exposure, and sell for substantial gains.
Under Martin, the Ibrox outfit must continue this strategy, which is scouring global markets for young, dynamic talents like Igamane, who delivered standout moments and became key first-team players.
Reinvesting profits into strengthening the first team, potentially targeting proven players while signing more low-cost, high-potential prospects, ensures squad depth and financial stability.
This cycle of smart recruitment, development and profitable sales, as seen with Igamane, positions Rangers to compete in Europe and domestically while building a robust, self-sustaining financial framework.
