Rangers set to lose two more players as Russell Martin faces Ibrox exodus
Rangers could see multiple players leaving ahead of the transfer deadline on 1 September.
Hamza Igamane appears set to join Lille, but he’s not expected to be the only first-team player to part ways with Gers in the coming days.
While Russell Martin wants Rangers to sign more players, he must also deal with exits over the next few days.

Nedim Bajrami and Oscar Cortes in talks with clubs
Nedim Bajrami has struggled since his move to the Light Blues last summer and despite multiple managers taking charge at different stages of his time at the club, he has failed to impress.
Last season, he made 25 SPFL appearances, but managed to find the net just twice and provided only one assist.
With Rangers excluding Bajrami from the squad against Club Brugge ahead of the first leg of their Champions League play-off, it became evident that Martin does not rate the Albania international that highly.
Nedim Bajrami’s 2024/25 Scottish Premiership statistics | Total |
Appearances | 25 |
Goals | 2 |
Assists | 1 |
Touches | 34.6 |
Accurate passes | 20.2 (82%) |
Big chances created | 4 |
Oscar Cortes is another player who’s struggled with form and fitness issues and he could also be on his way out this summer.
According to Four Lads Had a Dream on 27 August, both Bajrami and Cortes are expected to leave on loan in the coming days.
The former is in talks with Sevilla while the latter is speaking to a Portuguese club, as both deals are ongoing.

Oscar Cortes and Nedim Bajrami are fighting for their Rangers futures
Bajrami and Cortes are both locked in a high-stakes battle to secure their futures at Rangers.
Bajrami joined permanently from Sassuolo for £3.5million and is yet to justify a pretty significant outlay.
Similarly, the young Colombian winger Cortes’s unavailability has raised doubts about his reliability.
Both players must demonstrate marked improvement and consistent contributions during the ongoing 2025/26 campaign out on loan to prove their value.
Failure to do so could see Rangers offload them next summer, potentially recouping funds amid the club’s squad rebuild and financial pressures.
