Hamza Igamane could get his Rangers transfer wish after what Lille have just done
Rangers may be left with no option but to accept a transfer offer for Hamza Igamane from LOSC Lille.
Russell Martin’s revelation about Igamane’s refusal to come on as a substitute in the 1-1 draw against St Mirren in the William Hill Premiership may have weakened the Gers’ hand in possible negotiations.
Rangers rejected a loan offer from Lille for Igamane, with the proposal being laughed off by the Ibrox hierarchy.
While the Light Blues were seemingly adamant about keeping the 22-year-old unless their demands were met, the situation may have changed after recent developments.

Lille resume talks with Rangers for Hamza Igamane
Discussions between Lille and the Gers have intensified for Igamane’s transfer, according to Footmercato.
The news outlet reported on 25 August that there’s a “strong likelihood” that the Moroccan striker will leave Ibrox for the Ligue 1 outfit this summer.
It’s been claimed that the French club have decided to “relaunch” their bid for the centre-forward, and talks have resumed, with an offer expected imminently.
Igamane wants to play for Lille, but it remains to be seen what sort of deal the Glaswegian outfit can conjure after his latest antics.

Hamza Igamane out: Who can Russell Martin sign as replacement?
If Lille do end up signing Igamane before 1 September, the Gers are likely to make a profit as any transfer fee will surely be more than the £1.7million they paid for him last summer.
The Light Blues may not have much time to find a replacement, though, with teams undoubtedly reluctant to do business with not long left in the transfer window.
Girona’s Bojan Miovski has been linked to Ibrox, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the 26-year-old return to Scotland after struggling in LaLiga.
- Cyriel Dessers was the leading goalscorer at the Gers last season, with 29 goals in all competitions.
- Igamane broke into the starting lineup under Philippe Clement, but Barry Ferguson didn’t seem to trust him.
- Danilo, who has had consistent fitness issues, is the other number nine at the Bears.
Rangers could also sign Jamie Vardy even after Deadline Day, with the Premier League winner available as a free agent after leaving Leicester City.
The recruitment team at the Gers deserve special praise for uncovering a gem like Igamane, but his time in G51 may be short-lived.
With supporters wanting to see a better player-trading model at the Glaswegian outfit, the centre-forward’s sale should have ideally been completed during the initial stages of the window, with a replacement then surely easier to find.
