Rangers already know how much they need to pay Girona for Bojan Miovski transfer
Russell Martin will hope for the Bojan Miovski of old as Rangers have set their sights on the Girona striker.
The 26-year-old was firing on all cylinders at Aberdeen before he got his big move to LaLiga last summer, featuring in the Champions League for the Spanish outfit in the previous campaign.
Miovski’s move to Ibrox is now being worked on after his struggles in Catalonia, scoring just two league goals in the 2024/25 season.
Russell Martin can’t seem to rely on Hamza Igamane after the young striker refused to come on as a substitute in the 1-1 draw against St Mirren on 24 August, but the North Macedonia international’s return to the William Hill Premiership may not come cheap.

Bojan Miovski transfer could cost Rangers £6.8m
A permanent move for Miovski could potentially cost the Gers a hefty sum, considering how much Girona paid for him.
After the Macedonian centre-forward’s heroics in the Scottish top flight, scoring 14 league goals in the 2023/24 season, the Spanish outfit spent £6.8million on him, and the Ibrox hierarchy may need to spend a similar amount soon.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see the LaLiga club demand what they spent on the striker a year ago, with three years still left on his deal at the Estadi Montilivi.
With the transfer window coming to a close soon, the Light Blues could potentially be forced into paying a premium if they want to bolster their attack before the end of August.

Billy Dodds has given Bojan Miovski seal of approval at Ibrox
Igamane’s future at Ibrox feels uncertain after his recent antics, and the Gers must put their foot down to stamp out such behaviour in the future.
The Glaswegian outfit could make a massive profit off the Morocco international’s sale, having signed him for just around £1.7m last summer.
Martin still has faith in Cyriel Dessers, but his sale isn’t ruled out in the final weeks of the window.
Rangers already know what they can get out of Miovski, who has 33 caps for his national side, if the striker can return to his best at Ibrox.
- 2022: MTK Budapest → Aberdeen for around £600,000
- 2024: Aberdeen → Girona for £6.8m
- 2025: Girona → Rangers for ?
In November 2023, the North Macedonia international scored the opener in the Gers’ 1-1 draw against Aberdeen at Pittodrie, and speaking on BBC Sportsound, Billy Dodds said: “I really like Miovski. How he played against England, you’re stepping up the levels and notching up the standard of football, then seeing him today, seeing him throughout the season.
“You get some people who don’t join in the game, don’t link up, but score goals. Others you see not scoring goals, but they link up. This guy does everything.”
To think that Miovski could potentially be the answer to the Light Blues’ attacking woes seems like a long shot after his failures last season, but the Girona centre-forward feels like the safest choice as the Glaswegian outfit’s hierarchy have left themselves with a lot to do before Deadline Day.
