Rangers player ratings vs Club Brugge: Jayden Meghoma shines, 1/10 star awful
Rangers suffered a humiliating defeat at Ibrox against Club Brugge in the UEFA Champions League qualifier on Tuesday.
Russell Martin’s side lost by a 3-1 scoreline after finding themselves three goals down within 20 minutes.
Danilo scored in the second half to give Rangers a slim chance ahead of the second leg in Belgium next week.

Jayden Meghoma the rare bright spark for Rangers
Martin decided to give Rangers new signing Jayden Meghoma a start against the Belgian side.
This proved to be the right call as he was arguably their only bright spark all game.
He got on the end of a Djeida Gassama through ball and set up Danilo for Gers’ only goal in the match.
Throughout his time on the pitch, the 19-year-old looked lively and, as far as debuts go, it was an excellent performance.
It did not look like Meghoma had just joined this group of players and it explains why Brentford value him so highly.
The Ibrox faithful will be hoping that he goes on to have more performances like this in the SPFL.

Nasser Djiga endures torrid evening at Ibrox
There was total miscommunication at the back for Brugge’s first goal.
With the ball played up to and Jack Butland rushing outside his area, all Nasser Djiga had to do was play the ball to the Rangers goalkeeper.
However, he completely moved away from the ball, which gave Vermant a chance to lob the ball over the English goalkeeper and he did exactly that.
Even apart from the goal, Djiga’s influence on the defensive side of things was minimal and he did little to keep the Brugge attackers at bay.
Signed to replace the underperforming Robin Propper, who left Ibrox for FC Twente, he’s not really done much to prove why he deserves to be a regular starter for Gers.
