‘Outstanding’ Nedim Bajrami footage emerges after Rangers goal vs Alloa
Rangers kicked off their Scottish League Cup campaign with a turgid 4-2 victory against League One side Alloa Athletic on Saturday.
The Light Blues have had a turbulent start to the season, with success in Champions League qualifiers overlooked by 1-1 draws with Dundee FC and Motherwell.
Russell Martin has been under fire from Rangers supporters who have grown frustrated with his team selections and tactics.
Nedim Bajrami opened the scoring with a wonderful curling effort, and that’s as good as it got in terms of quality at Ibrox.

Michael Stewart praises ‘outstanding’ Rangers opener
Martin has been keen to bring in players of his own this summer, with the likes of Joe Rothwell and Max Aarons joining him in Glasgow.
However, it was one of Rangers‘ regulars from last season who opened the scoring against Alloa.
Bajrami fired home a fine strike from outside the box to give the Gers a much-needed opener.
Former Hearts and Hibs midfielder Michael Stewart was full of praise for the midfielder, with replays showing the goal from perfectly behind.
Speaking live on Premier Sports (16 August, 17:59), he said: “Take nothing away from the finish, because it’s outstanding.
“Round the Alloa players that are coming out to confront him, into that far corner. Russell Martin will be a lot happier now that he has his side one-nil in front.”
The opener will have had Martin hopeful that things were finally starting to click for him at Ibrox, but the goal was cancelled out 12 minutes later by the visitors, who somehow pushed Rangers all of the way.
The Gers again found themselves back ahead after 28 minutes through new signing Emmanuel Fernandez, with further goals from James Tavernier and Findlay Curtis.

Martin needs to put more faith in Rangers regulars
The likes of Nico Raskin and Mohamed Diomande have been in and out of the side during Martin’s tenure, despite being Rangers’ better players.
Martin has constantly elected to play a failing system that features fringe players such as Kieran Dowell, who are clearly not good enough.
Rangers must instead work on bedding in new players with last season’s group in order to help them adjust to life in Scotland.
The likes of 19-year-old Nasser Djiga have been thrust straight into Martin’s starting eleven and have struggled and come under fire.
Bajrami has struggled for quality since arriving in Glasgow, but having completed a full season at Ibrox, it could be time for him to make an impact.
