Rangers in talks for next sale after Jefte as £6m exit deal agreed
Jefte appears to be on his way out of Rangers for good in the coming days.
Rangers signed Jefte, 21, last summer and little over a year later, he will be parting ways with them.
Jefte even started the second leg against Viktoria Plzen, but endured a tough 90 minutes as his side lost 2-1 on the night.

Ridvan Yilmaz could also leave to join Besiktas
The Light Blues are set to bank £6million as Jefte is now set to join Palmeiras.
However, he is not the only left-back who’s on the verge of an exit this summer.
According to Chris Jack, Gers remain in talks with Besiktas over the sale of Ridvan Yilmaz.
The Rangers Review journalist reported on 15 August that other clubs in Europe were also keeping tabs on the Turkey international’s situation.
While it’s unclear how much they will be getting for Yilmaz, the Jefte sale is a profitable one for the club.
Gers paid £800,000 to APOEL to sign him last summer and are making seven-and-a-half times the money to get him off the books.
There are performance-related add-ons included in the deal along with a sell-on clause.

Rangers now need to sign two new left-backs
Rangers’ potential loss of both Jefte and Yilmaz late in the transfer window highlights poor planning, leaving the club vulnerable at left-back with just two weeks to act.
This exodus risks a defensive crisis, as makeshift options like Max Aarons have struggled on the left.
Club | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
Rangers | 77 | 2 | 6 |
Besiktas | 62 | 4 | 7 |
To maintain SPFL competitiveness, Gers must urgently sign two new left-backs capable of adapting quickly to the league’s physicality and tactical demands.
The tight timeline complicates securing quality replacements, and new signings will need rapid integration to avoid disrupting squad balance.
Failure to address this promptly could undermine their title aspirations, exposing a lack of foresight in squad management.
Fans will be hoping that work has begun on signing an out-and-out left-back, as it’s an important position that needs addressing.
