Raskin returns, two changes – Rangers predicted XI vs Viktoria Plzen

Rangers boss Russell Martin could bring Nico Raskin back into his starting line-up against Viktoria Plzen on Tuesday.

The Belgian star has been out of the starting line-up for the Gers’ last two matches, the 3-0 first-leg win against the Czech side and the 1-1 Scottish Premiership draw with Dundee.

The Light Blues are looking to progress into the Champions League play-off round and boast a hefty advantage after the first leg at Ibrox.

However, they will be without Hamza Igamane, Thelo Aasgaard, and Mikey Moore for the contest.

Martin makes two changes for Rangers vs Viktoria Plzen

Jack Butland is expected to retain his place between the sticks despite concerns about his future as the number one.

James Tavernier is predicted to return to the starting team after being dropped for the draw with the Dens Park outfit in favour of Max Aarons.

Nasser Djiga was sent off in the Ibrox clash, so it makes sense for Martin to start him as he will miss the next league game.

John Souttar is expected to partner the former Wolverhampton Wanderers man at the heart of defence, with Jefte completing the back four.

The most significant change might come in the engine room, with Lyall Cameron axed for Raskin, in a move that could allow Mohamed Diomande to thrive in the number 10 role.

The former Dundee star was replaced by the Belgian after 56 minutes last time out, and he may lose his place in the starting line-up.

Raskin and Joe Rothwell are expected to feature at the base of midfield, as the Ivorian is much better in the more creative role at the tip of the midfield.

Unchanged attack could work for Rangers

Martin might opt for the exact same front three that have started the last two matches, with Oliver Antman starting from the right flank.

Cyriel Dessers is expected to get the nod to lead the line over Danilo, and Djeidi Gassama is predicted to complete the line-up.

The Gers will be confident that the trio can secure their passage to the final qualifying round as they all notched contributions the last time that the sides met.
