Rangers have to sign Pierce Charles as remarkable Championship stat emerges
Pierce Charles could be the answer to Rangers’ goalkeeping woes.
Charles has emerged as a potential target for the Gers, with Arsenal keeper Karl Hein also linked with a move to Govan.
Russell Martin is reportedly looking for a stopper to replace Jack Butland, who has struggled to convince in his time at Ibrox.
He may have the perfect option after a stunning stat emerged on the Sheffield Wednesday star.

Charles may be Martin’s solution at Rangers after stat reveal
Rangers could add Charles to the nine players they have already signed in the transfer window, but they may enter it again if the right goalkeeper becomes available.
Charles made 11 saves in his side’s 2-1 loss to Leicester, which was the most in the Championship this weekend.
The troubled English club are reportedly willing to sell the 20-year-old for a fee of £8million due to the financial problems that they are facing, and after his performance against the Foxes, the Gers should be all over that.

Rangers can seal excellent Charles addition
The 49ers Enterprises group are known for their data-driven approach to recruitment, which has worked previously at Leeds United.
The approach could flag Charles after his brilliant performance against the favourites for Championship promotion.
The young stopper has already earned praise from Premier League star Anthony Elanga after facing him at international level, and he will have plenty more admirers after his latest display for the struggling side.
The Gers may need to act quickly if they want to secure his signature, as he is likely to have a bunch of suitors coming in for his services as the window progresses.
Martin wants his goalkeeper to be able to play out from the back, and the Hillsborough star boasts a better passing accuracy than both Butland and the other potential signing Hein.
- Charles recorded a 76.3 per cent pass accuracy last season, compared to Butland’s 73.3 per cent and Hein’s 70.2 per cent
They have already signed Djeide Gassama from the Yorkshire club, and they could take advantage again and poach Charles, who looks on the pathway to stardom.
It could prove to be an inspired addition, with the Light Blues already four points behind Celtic after two draws in the Scottish Premiership so far.
