Rangers set multi-million Ridvan Yilmaz demand as transfer offer made
Ridvan Yilmaz could potentially announce his exit from Rangers soon.
The Turkish national seems to be out of the Gers’ plans for the 2025/26 campaign after failing to make it into the UEFA Champions League squad for the Panathinaikos fixtures.
Yilmaz is unhappy at Ibrox due to his situation, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the versatile full-back leave the Light Blues before the end of August.
Besiktas were waiting to face Shakhtar Donetsk before resuming negotiations for the 24-year-old, and have now submitted an official offer.

Rangers to accept less than £3.4million for Yilmaz
Yilmaz is eager to return to Besiktas this summer, according to Yagiz Sabuncuoglu.
The journalist revealed on X (4 August) that the Gers have received a bid for the left-back at Ibrox as talks continue with the Super Lig outfit.
Yeni Acik reporter Ertan Suzgun also disclosed on X (4 August) that the Light Blues have dropped their demands below £3.4million for the Turkey international’s sale.
With all parties seemingly hoping for a resolution soon, it wouldn’t be surprising to see confirmation of the defender’s departure in the coming hours.
Russell Martin will lose a lot with Yilmaz’s exit from Ibrox
Russell Martin would have realised the job on his hands at Iborx after the 1-1 draw against Motherwell at Fir Park on Saturday (2 August).
The Scottish manager was rightfully unhappy with most players after their underwhelming performance in North Lanarkshire.
While Max Aarons didn’t have a bad game individually against the Steelmen, he has struggled playing out of position under the former Southampton boss.
Martin doesn’t seem to trust Jefte at Rangers, leaving the Bournemouth loanee to play at left-back instead of competing with James Tavernier for a place in the starting lineup.
Yilmaz’s versatility came in handy at Ibrox last season, as he played on both flanks of the defence as well as in a more advanced attacking role.
The Light Blues will lose depth with the 24-year-old’s departure, and should look to replace him before sanctioning his sale.
Only time will tell who the Scottish manager will have in his squad before the end of August.
