Martin leaves Sutton in utter disbelief with something never seen before
Rangers got off to an underwhelming start to the Scottish Premiership in a 1-1 draw with Motherwell on Saturday.
Russell Martin’s side made a quick start to the game, with new face Joe Rothwell teeing up James Tavernier from a corner.
From then on in, though, Rangers were disappointing and were lucky to grab a draw, with Motherwell not having their shooting boots on.

Chris Sutton brands Martin’s rant ‘remarkable’
Sky Sports pundit Chris Sutton was critical of the Light Blues’ display against the Steelmen, with goalkeeper Jack Butland taking the brunt of the criticism.
The former Celtic striker then took to X after the game to give some of his thoughts on Martin’s post-match interview.
In the interview with Sky Sports, Martin said: “We had two men on the pitch today who were doing what they wanted to do.
“When you just jog around, there’s a big problem. Some of them have to drop their egos.”
In response, Sutton wrote: “This is remarkable…I’ve never seen an interview like it after one game… but most of it is true…”

Following a solid start to their Champions League campaign, having beaten Panathinaikos in the qualifiers, the performance against Motherwell will bring plenty of disappointment for Martin.
After seemingly making such a good start to the transfer window, it will feel like the Light Blues are back to square one again with no more incomings in sight.
In fact, the Gers could see some outgoings in the coming weeks, with strike duo Hamza Igamane and Cyriel Dessers linked with moves away.
On the latter, Martin said after the draw to Motherwell: “Dessers is the only one we’ve had a bid for and he works hard.”

Motherwell draw will be an eye-opener for Martin
Rangers have had to endure a busy start to the season.
However, the schedule is no excuse for such a poor performance, and Martin will no doubt be heading back to the drawing board.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see more wholesale changes after the draw, with new signings on the agenda.
