Will Mikey Moore be eligible to make Rangers debut v Motherwell?
Rangers secured the transfer of Mikey Moore from Tottenham on a season-long loan on Friday.
Russell Martin will be keen on the 17-year-old bedding in with the squad as he’s likely to play a prominent first-team role in the 2025/26 campaign.
The Ibrox outfit secured his services on loan without an option to buy, meaning he will be returning to Spurs come the end of the season.

Moore has been likened to Neymar
Moore made his senior debut in 2024, and while he’s not been a regular for the Premier League side, he has been a squad player, ready to come on when needed.
At Rangers, he’s likely to play a more prominent role, which would not only benefit the Scottish side but would also be good for Spurs, as that would aid in his development.
Ange Postecoglou, who was sacked this summer despite winning the Europa League, was an admirer of the English forward.
Speaking last year about him, the Australian said: “He’s a great young player and definitely more to come.”

James Maddison, his teammate at Tottenham, even likened him to Brazil legend Neymar.
Via BBC Sport, he said: “I thought we had Neymar on the left wing! He is fearless, [he has] that young, fearless mentality.
“He’s a brilliant lad, he has bags of ability. I will hopefully help him with wise words but he has all the ability and well done to him.”

Russell Martin will be working with talented attacker
Despite being only 17, Moore is an ideal attacking signing for Martin due to his exceptional talent and fit within the manager’s possession-based, attacking philosophy.
The Tottenham winger’s pace, directness, and ability to beat defenders align perfectly with the Gers boss’ demand for dynamic forwards who stretch defences.
Moore’s composure on the ball and creative flair will certainly take SPFL defences by storm.
His fearlessness and work rate suit Martin’s high-pressing style, while his youth allows for long-term development under the manager’s nurturing approach, making him a strategic addition.

Moore unlikely to make Rangers debut v Motherwell on Saturday
While Moore has been announced by Rangers, he’s not expected to be eligible to make his debut in the coming days.
His loan move is still subject to international clearance, and as he’s under 18, it will reportedly take longer than normal for his move to be completely formalised.
The Gers take on Motherwell on 2 August at Fir Park, so that match appears to have come too soon for the teenager.
